We’ve launched a new petition asking the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead (RBWM) to put a stop to development plans at Maidenhead Golf Course, and protect our public open space and biodiverse woodlands.
We are determined to keep the pressure up to make sure our new Lib Dem council finds a way to put a stop to this environmentally damaging development, either by withdrawing from their contract with Cala Homes or by submitting a new Borough Local Plan.
Please do help us to bring this issue back to our council for debate by signing and sharing the petition using this link https://rbwm.moderngov.co.uk/mgEPetitionDisplay.aspx?Id=2184
We will also be circulating paper copies of the petition at the Filling Good shop on Maidenhead High Street, Vets for Pets at Pets at Home and U-Want Taxis on King Street.
Do let us know if you’d like a poster and a signature sheet in your place of work or community space by emailing us at: maidenheadgreatpark@gmail.com
We need to secure 1,000 signatures to get this issue debated at full council.
Anyone aged 18 and over who lives in the Royal Borough can sign the petition.
In 1953 our council bought Maidenhead Golf Course to preserve it as an open space.
We’d like it to stay that way.
Please do help us to continue to explain to our council how important this area of woodlands and green open space is for our community, by signing and sharing our new petition.
