Over 100 people attended our woodland naming event on Maidenhead Golf Course yesterday (Easter Monday 1 April 2024), braving the elements as we experienced rain, hail and sunshine!
Tina Quadrino, chair of the Maidenhead Great Park campaign group and Cllr Simon Werner, Leader of RBWM, officially unveiled our new sign naming Desborough Woods.
As well as all our campaign supporters who witnessed the official naming of the woods in the hope that they might be protected from development, we’d like to thank Martin Woolner and Gill Evans from Wild Maidenhead, Derek Smith and Paul Louden from Maidenhead Golf Club, and Cllrs Simon Werner and Josh Reynolds for helping us to make the event possible.
