Previous Petitions

We asked RBWM to improve its air pollution measuring. We secured 2,151 signatures and it was debated at Full Council on 22 November 2022.

This petition is now closed. For more information about this petition go to https://maidenheadgreatpark.co.uk/air-pollution-petition-to-be-debated-at-22-november-rbwm-council-meeting

On 27 January 2022 we raised a petition asking the council to reject the Borough Local Plan (BLP) in its entirety, because the Green Belt land of Maidenhead Golf Course is included. It received over 700 signatures in just 10 days, and enabled Tina Quadrino to speak at the Council meeting held on 8 February 2022.

Thank you to everyone who supported our campaign.

2020/21 Petition

Our 2020/21 petition asking our council to protect the green belt land of Maidenhead Golf Course, had 4,448 signatures.

Following the closure of our petition, on Tuesday 2 March 2021 we put forward a motion to our council, the Royal Borough of Windsor & Maidenhead, at their Extraordinary Full Council meeting.  The motion was debated and unfortunately it was narrowly defeated by 20 votes against vs 19 for.

Every councillor who voted to develop the golf course with over 2,000 new homes was Conservative. To find out which way your local councillor voted, go to:  https://maidenheadgreatpark.co.uk/which-way-did-your-local-councillors-vote
